Floating bathing Kund to be build on Saryu river for safety of devotees

Ayodhya (UP), Apr 26 (UNI) In a move aimed at improving facilities for tourists and devotees in Ayodhya, the Uttar Pradesh government has decided to construct a floating bathing kund in the Saryu River, official sources said here on Saturday.
Sources said that the modern Kund will accommodate up to 300 devotees at a time, providing a safe and convenient bathing experience, especially during large fairs and religious gatherings.
Sources said that with the completion of the grand Ram Temple, Ayodhya has been witnessing an unprecedented surge in the number of visitors. "To further enhance the city's religious and tourism appeal, the UP government is undertaking a series of development projects. As part of these efforts, the Ayodhya Development Authority has approved the construction of the floating kund, which will offer a unique and modern experience to devotees and tourists alike," they said.
Sources said that the initiative is expected not only to boost religious tourism but also to strengthen the local economy. "The floating bathing kund will be equipped with safety barriers, railings, changing rooms, benches, solar lighting, an emergency support boat, shopping facilities and other modern amenities. This will not only be important from a religious point of view, but will also play an important role in promoting tourism," they said.
Sources said that the floating kund will be a structure that floats on water. "It will be made using light and durable materials like pontoons, fiber-reinforced plastic or steel frames. This structure will stay stable on the water and adjust itself according to the river’s rising and falling water levels," they said.
Sources said that the Ayodhya Development Authority will monitor the entire project. "It will serve as a major attraction for devotees," they said.
Vice Chairman of ADA Ashwini Pandey said that the structure design has already been prepared and the tender process will begin soon.
