Homoeopathy gaining ground in Mizoram, says Governor

Aizawl, Apr 11 (UNI) Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh, PVSM, AVSM, YSM (Retd), on Friday said Homoeopathy is steadily gaining ground in Mizoram and holds immense potential to flourish further in the state.
“Although Homoeopathy originated in Germany, it has found its strongest growth and acceptance in India. Even on a global scale, India leads in the acceptance and practice of Homoeopathy,” the Governor said, adding that Mizoram’s rich tradition of medicinal knowledge aligns well with this system of medicine.
He was addressing a function held at the Dawrpui Multipurpose Centre in Aizawl to mark World Homoeopathy Day 2025, organised by the Directorate of AYUSH under the Health & Family Welfare Department. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Adhyayan, Adhyaapan, Anusandhaan: Learning, Teaching, Research.’
