Maha: Central Railway temporarily restricts sale of platform tickets during summer vacation

Mumbai, Apr 17 (UNI) The Central Railway has announced temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at key Mumbai stations during the summer vacation, officials said here on Thursday.

The initiative aims to ease congestion and ensure smooth movement on platforms during the upcoming summer vacation.

The restriction on the sale of platform tickets starts from April 18 to May 15. official further said.

The affected stations include Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT), Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT), and Kalyan.

The decision was officially announced via a post on X (formerly Twitter) by the Central Railway's Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Mumbai account (@drmmumbaicr).

'Passengers, Please Note: In view of the extra crowding of the platforms during the summer vacation period, the sale of platform tickets has been restricted from April 18 to May 15, 2025 to avoid any untoward incident.'
