Manipur: 104 weapons deposited, dateline to lay down arms ends

Imphal, Feb 27 UNI Large numbers of arms and ammunition were laid down in Manipur as the dateline to surrender arms ended on Thursday.
Police said during the last 24 hours, 104 weapons, ammunitions, and miscellaneous other items were deposited in Kangpokpi, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Imphal West, and Kakching districts.
Governor AK Bhalla had asked all to surrender illegal arms within seven days last Thursday. UNI NS SSP
