Five militants nabbed in Manipur, arms recovered

Imphal, Mar 26 (UNI) Five militants were nabbed in three separate incidents and arms recovered in operations during the last 24 hours, according to Police.
Manipur Police said security forces arrested two active cadres of KCP (PWG) from Thangtek Terakhong under Nambol-PS in Bishnupur District.
They were involved in extortion activities and had served monetary demands to a shop, a doctor, an oil pump and a private school in Imphal West and Nambol area.

Manipur Police arrested two active cadres of UNLF (K ) from Imphal East. The arrested were involved in extortion activities including extortion from trucks loaded with goods in Imphal and Bishnupur area.
In another incident, Manipur Police arrested one active member of SOREPA from Imphal East district. In an operation at Imphal East, one 9 mm Pistol with Magazine, one automatic Single Barrel Gun, three Hand Grenade and other war like materials were recovered.
