Tripura LoP writes to Speaker alleging violation of rules

Agartala, Mar 28 (UNI) Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the Tripura Assembly Jitendra Chaudhury on Friday wrote to the Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen asking him to cancel the privilege motion moved by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ratan Lal Nath against the CPI(M) mouthpiece Daily Desher Katha claiming it was submitted without following the proper procedure.
Two days ago, the Speaker accepted Chaudhury's privilege motion against Minister Nath for an alleged racial comment about the LoP and also admitted a similar motion of Nath. But the Speaker allowed Nath’s motion, claiming it was submitted before Chaudhury's motion.
Protesting it, the CPI-M announced a boycott of the remaining business days of the ongoing budget session.
