Birth anniversary of Lord Ram observed in Puri Jaganath temple

Puri, Apr 6 (UNI) The birth anniversary of Lord Ram was observed in the iconic Jagannath Temple here in Odisha on Sunday with pomp and gaiety.
On Sunday morning, priests performed daily chores of the Trinity (Lord Jagananth, Lord Balabhada and Goddess Subhadra) like Mangal Arati, mailum, Tadap Lagi, and Abakash, and offered Gopal Bhog.
After offering Madhyahna Dhupa (bhog) servitors closed Jai Vijay door of the Garbhagruha (sanctum sanctorum) for devotees to observe the birth ritual of Lord Ram.
Two servitors played as Dasarath and Kaushallya. The ritual went on for four hours. Soon after the ritual was over, public darshan of deities was allowed.
