3 militants nabbed, explosives, arms recovered in Manipur

Imphal, Mar 29 (UNI) Three militants were nabbed in three separate incidents during the last 24 hours. Police said explosives and arms were also recovered in other operations.
Manipur Police arrested a cadre of PREPAK from the Sekmaijin Mayai Leikai area in the Kakching District.
The arrested person was directly involved in recruiting new members and extorting from the general public of Kakching District.
In another incident, Manipur Police arrested an active cadre of the PREPAK-Progressive group from Imphal East District. Manipur Police also arrested a cadre of KCP (Politburo Standing Committee) from Imphal East District.
In an operation at Kamu village, Imphal East, one cylindrical-shaped IED with 11 kg of explosive, two pumpi improvised explosive firing devices, four improvised mortar bombs (large), three pumpi improvised mortar bombs (small), one digital day sight/mor sight with a telescopic bubble for elevation, telescopic day sight and other ammunitions were recovered.
In another operation at Bishnupur district, one Excalibur rifle, one carbine machine gun, and one .303 sniper rifle. 303 Sniper Rifle, 15 packets of Power Gel (801) explosive and large numbers of arms were recovered.
