No one will get a Punjab water, says Mann after all-party meet

Chandigarh, May 2 (UNI) Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Friday said that the state's water belongs to the state and no one would be allowed to take a single drop of it.

Mann was speaking to the media after an all-party meeting in which, along with ruling Aam Aadmi

Party, opposition parties such as the Congress, Shiromani Akali Dal, Communist Party of India and the

BJP participated.

The BJP was represented by the party's state unit chief Sunil Jakhar and former Minister Manoranjan Kalia.

Jakhar said he was a Punjabi and stands with the state. He also suggested avoiding confrontation and resolving the issue by talks with the Centre.

Meanwhile, AAP spokesperson Neel Garg in an X post alleged that Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini was "lying" on the issue and claimed that Haryana already received 100 per cent of its share by the end of March this year.
