Rajasthan Diwas celebrated at Arunachal Raj Bhavan

Itanagar, Mar 30 (UNI) In the true spirit of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ Rajasthan’s State Foundation Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Arunachal Pradesh Raj Bhavan here on Sunday. The event, graced by Arunachal Governor Lt General (Retd) KT Parnaik, highlighted the strong cultural ties between Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh.
The celebration featured an array of vibrant performances that showcased Rajasthan’s rich heritage. The Governor actively participated in the cultural program and interactive sessions, reinforcing the message of national unity and cultural harmony.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor emphasized that celebrating the foundation days of other states fosters national amity and strengthens the fabric of unity in diversity. He also praised the vision of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ championed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for promoting inter-state cultural exchange.
Reflecting on Rajasthan’s glorious history, the Governor noted its contributions to India’s heritage, known for valour, patriotism, and rich cultural traditions. He also acknowledged the contributions of the Rajasthani community in Arunachal Pradesh’s development and appreciated their efforts in preserving and sharing their cultural heritage.
The celebrations included a mesmerizing Ghoomar dance and the spirited Dhamal folk song, enthralling the audience. Adding to the festivities, children from the Child Care Institute, Oju Mission, performed the ‘Arunachal Hamara’ dance, symbolizing cultural camaraderie between the two states.
In a special gesture, the Statehood Day message from Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde was read out during the event. The students of Oju Welfare Association, Naharlagun, attended as special guests of the Governor, making the event more inclusive and memorable.
As part of the celebration, the Governor hosted a high tea, engaging with guests and participants. The highlight of the evening was the authentic Rajasthani cuisine served by the Rajasthani community of Arunachal Pradesh, including traditional delicacies such as ‘Dal Baati,’ ‘Churma,’ ‘Ghewar,’ and ‘Moong Ka Halwa,’ which delighted all attendees.
The grand celebration truly embodied the essence of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat,’ reinforcing the spirit of unity and strengthening cultural ties between Rajasthan and Arunachal Pradesh, officials said.
