Patna, Mar 25 (UNI)Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha on Tuesday said that the state government would launch a special drive soon to prevent the selling of substandard and adulterated products in the markets of Bihar.
Sinha, also the Agriculture Minister, said that the state government had received reports about the sale of substandard and adulterated products, which was a very serious issue. Under no circumstances would, state government allow marketing of such products, as it was posing a serious threat to the health of the people besides its other advantages, he added.
The state government would soon launch a special drive to prevent the sale of substandard and adulterated products by deploying an adequate number of personnel to carry out raids and search operations. Farmers of Bihar were engaged in the cultivation of various agro products, and their quality should never be compromised due to the sinister design of some vested elements engaged in selling sub-standard products, he added.
