Telangana inter results: 65.96 pc pass in first yr, 65.65 pc in second year; girls outshine boys

Hyderabad, Apr 22 (UNI) The Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education (TSBIE) has officially declared the results of the Intermediate First and Second Year examinations.

Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka released the results at the Intermediate Board office in Hyderabad on Tuesday at noon.

A total of 9,97,012 students appeared for the exams held in March, with an overall pass percentage of 65.96 per cent in the first year and 65.65 per cent in the second year.

Addressing the media after the announcement, the Deputy Chief Minister extended his heartfelt congratulations to the students and their parents.

He highlighted that this year saw an improvement in pass percentages compared to the previous year, with girls outperforming boys in both years. Girls achieved a 73.83 per cent pass rate in the first year and an impressive 74.21 per cent in the second year, while boys secured 57.83 per cent in the first year and 57.31 per cent in the second year.

District-wise, Mulugu secured the top position with a pass percentage of 80.12 per cent, while Kamareddy stood last with 54.93 per cent.

The Intermediate, Advanced Supplementary Examinations are scheduled to begin from May 22. The Board has allowed one week for students to apply for recounting and reverification of their answer scripts.

Education officials assured that results are available on the official TSBIE website, www.tgbie.cgg.gov.in, and this year, in a first, students will also receive direct result links via SMS. By clicking the link and entering their hall ticket numbers, students can instantly access their results.

Ministers Ponnam Prabhakar and Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, along with Inter Board officials, were also present at the results announcement ceremony.
