Amaravati, Mar 19 (UNI) A trough extending from central parts of Odisha to South Vidarbha across South Chhattisgarh at 0.9 km above mean sea level persists, Meteorological Centre said on Wednesday.
In its daily weather report here, it said that a trough or wind discontinuity from Marathwada to the cyclonic circulation over south Tamil Nadu, passing through interior Karnataka at 0.9 km above mean sea level, also persists.
Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning is likely to occur at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema on March 22 and 23.
Additionally, strong surface winds with speed ranging between 30-40 kmph is expected at isolated places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema during the same period.
There will be no significant change in maximum temperatures in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Rayalaseema on March 22 and 23.
Light to moderate rain or thundershowers is likely at a few places in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam from March 22 to 25, and in Rayalaseema from March 22 to 24.
Dry weather is expected to prevail in Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam during the next three days, while the same situation will prevail in Rayalaseema and on March 25.
