Moradabad (UP), May 4 (UNI) Two members of a family were killed and two others were injured after their motorcycle was hit by a dumper in Dilari area of the district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday, police sources said here.

Police said that the incident occurred at around 12:30 pm, when Mohammad Yunus, a resident of Aliya village, along with his wife Tabassum (26), two sons one-and-a-half-year-old Mohammad Saad and Zikran (3) was going to a relative's house.

"Near the village, the dumper coming from the opposite direction hit the motorcycle," they said.

Police further said that Tabassum and Mohammad Saad died on the spot, while Yunus and Zikran, who sustained serious injuries, have been admitted to the district hospital.

"The dumper driver has been taken into custody by the police. Further legal action is underway," they added.
