‘Mann Ki Baat’ powerful medium to inspire public participation in nation building: Saraogi

Khagaria, Sep 27 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Bihar president and Darbhanga MLA Sanjay Saraogi today said Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ is a powerful medium that provides fresh impetus to public participation in nation-building.
Saraogi listened to the latest episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat’ along with party workers at booth number 178 under Maheshkhunt North Mandal in the Beldaur Assembly constituency of Khagaria district. District office-bearers, a large number of local party workers and residents were present on the occasion.
After the programme, Saraogi said ‘Mann Ki Baat’ had become an important platform for the Prime Minister to directly communicate with citizens.
Through the programme, inspiring initiatives, achievements, innovations and the positive strength of society from different parts of the country are brought to the attention of the nation.
He said the programme inspires every citizen to contribute to nation-building.
Sarawagi said that in Sunday’s address, Prime Minister Modi shared his views on several important issues of national interest, including the surgical strike, the census and the glorious heritage of Somnath.
The Prime Minister, he said, highlighted issues related to the country''s collective strength, heritage and development journey while also underlining the responsibilities and participation of citizens.
The BJP state president said ‘Mann Ki Baat’ had also emerged as a medium for strengthening unity in the country's diversity.
He said notable work being undertaken by ordinary citizens in villages as well as cities and remote areas receives national recognition through the programme.
According to Saraogi, this encourages young people, women, farmers and those working in various fields to move forward and contribute to society.
He also said the Prime Minister emphasised the need to combat malnutrition across the country and raise awareness about nutrition, while appreciating several inspiring initiatives.
Saraogi said the Prime Minister's interaction was not limited to highlighting the achievements of the government, but also recognised people and initiatives making contributions to the national interest at their own level.
He called upon party workers to take the Prime Minister''s message to the people and make efforts to involve every section of society in positive and constructive activities. UNI RS SAS
