AP: AITUC demands scrapping of four labour codes

Kakinada (Andhra Pradesh), May 1 (UNI) The All India Trade Union Congress(AITUC) which controls majority workers unions in this port city has taken out a rally in the main streets to mark the celebration of May Day and raised slogans demanding the scrapping of four labour codes describing them as ''draconian'' and ''anti-labour''.
Kirla Krishna Rao, AITUC state leader and AP Municipal workers union honorary president , Thokala Prasad, AITUC district secretary have led the rally .
Municipal workers, medical employees, electricity workers, building construction workers, contract and outsourcing workers and security guards took part in the rally in large numbers.
Addressing the workers at the old municipal office grounds, Krishna Rao demanded both the state and central governments to prove their sincerity and commitment to workers welfare by abolishing the four labour codes without further delay.
He said the AITUC along with other trade unions was demanding both the state and central governments to implement Rs.35,000 as the minimum wage and regularize the services of contract and outsourcing workers.

Balakrishna, the company's Chief Manager lodged a formal complaint with the Cyber Crime Station, alleging that Anasuya Vemuri, a former employee who served as Chief Manager, Editorial Services, from March 1994 to October 2005, had illicitly retained access to the company's sensitive and proprietary information, including intellectual property, trade secrets, digital content, and other confidential data.
