AP: CS flags off 2K run to mark National Ayurveda Day

Vijayawada, Sep 27 (UNI) Chief Secretary of Government of Andhra Pradesh here today flagged off the 2K run to mark the National Ayurveda Day.
The event was jointly organized by Sri Gayathri Ayurvedic Multi-Speciality Centre and Rotary Vijayawada Midtown.

The run saw enthusiastic participation from fitness enthusiasts, families, youth and Rotary members. Carrying the banner of "Run for health – Run for wellness" and the theme "Healthier Minds - Stronger Bodies - A Brighter Tomorrow," participants echoed the call for active, mindful living.

The organizers reaffirmed their commitment to driving community-led wellness initiatives and thanked the chief guest, participants, and volunteers for making the event a grand success.

Addressing the gathering on the occasion, the Chief Secretary commended the organizers for promoting fitness and wellness, the senior bureaucrat highlighted the enduring relevance of Ayurveda’s holistic approach to health.

"Preventive care must take precedence over curative treatment," he emphasized, urging citizens to incorporate simple, daily physical activities like walking, jogging, and regular exercise into their routines alongside wholesome nutrition and adequate rest.
The Chief Secretary exhorted people to follow regular physical exercise, a balanced diet, disciplined lifestyle and proactive healthcare for lasting well-being.

Key dignitaries present at the event included Rotary Vijayawada Midtown President Rtn. Venkat Ketiboyina, Secretary Rtn. Trinath Nandoori, Dr Subrahmanyeswara Rao MD Gayathri Ayurvedic Multi-Speciality Centre and Dr Konda Venkateswarlu honorary president Vishwa Ayurveda parishad Ap Vibhag.
