Ayurveda Rasayana for cellular regeneration: MoU signed for research study

Thiruvananthapuram, July 2 (UNI) A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for a collaborative research study on the role of Rasayana (rejuvenation) medicines in Ayurveda for cellular regeneration and enhancement of immunity.
The project is supported by the Government of Kerala and involves the School of Fundamental Research in Ayurveda under the Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), the CSIR-NIIST (National Institute for Interdisciplinary Science and Technology), the Advanced Centre for Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Research in Cutaneous Biology under the Department of Zoology, University of Kerala, and the Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram.
The MoU was signed by Dr. S. Gopakumar, Registrar of KUHS; Dr. K. S. Anil Kumar, Registrar of the University of Kerala; Dr. K. V. Radhakrishnan, Senior Principal Scientist, CSIR; Dr. V. K. Sunitha, Principal, Government Ayurveda College; Dr. Anil Kumar M. V., Professor, School of Fundamental Research in Ayurveda; Dr. Rajmohan V., Associate Professor, Government Ayurveda College; Dr. Sreejith P., Director, ACRM-STEM (Advanced Center for Regenerative Medicine - Stem Cell Research).
The signed documents were handed over to Dr. Mohanan Kunnummal, Vice Chancellor of both KUHS and the University of Kerala; Dr. Anantharamakrishnan, Director of CSIR-NIIST; Dr. K. S. Anil Kumar, Registrar, University of Kerala; and Dr. V. K. Sunitha, Principal of Government Ayurveda College.
