CBSE launches month-long academic support programme for Class X, XII students in Ladakh

New Delhi, Sep 17 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), in collaboration with the Government of the union Territory of Ladakh, has launched a month-long in-person academic support programme for students of Classes X and XII studying in government schools across the high-altitude region.
The programme, being conducted from September 14 to October 14, is aimed at strengthening students’ conceptual understanding and preparedness for the CBSE Board examinations through focused classroom-based academic support.
More than 250 experienced teachers and resource persons from CBSE-affiliated schools across the country have been nominated to conduct classes and provide academic guidance to students in Ladakh.
The classes are being held in government schools in Leh, Nubra, Shams, Zanskar, Kargil, Drass, Changthang, Sankoo Chiktan and other high-altitude areas of the union Territory.
For Class X students, the programme covers Mathematics and Science, while Class XII students are being provided support in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Economics.
Besides subject-specific preparation, the sessions are designed to familiarise students with various aspects of the Board examinations, including assessment strategies, examination techniques, effective time management and approaches to answering questions.
The CBSE said the initiative seeks to provide students with targeted academic support in a classroom environment, strengthen their conceptual understanding and enhance their examination preparedness.
The programme is also expected to contribute to improved learning outcomes among students enrolled in government schools across the union Territory.
The initiative, according to the Board, reflects its continued efforts to support affiliated schools and extend academic interventions aimed at benefiting students, including those studying in remote and high-altitude regions.
The month-long programme is being conducted in coordination with the Government of the union Territory of Ladakh.
