Chief Kazi to TN govt passes away

Chennai, May 25 (UNI) The Chief Kazi to the Tamil Nadu government
Salahuddin Mohammed Ayub, who had a very good knowledge of Islamic
teachings, passed away here late on Saturday night due to age-related
illness.
He was 84
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin condoled his death and also visited
his residence and paid homage to the mortal remains of the Chief Kazi on
Sunday.
Mr Stalin said he was deeply saddened to hear about his death and recalled
his long association with him rght from the days he was elected as MLA from
the Thousand Lights constituency in the city.
A respected scholar, the Chief Kazi would always be remembered for his
immense contributions for the community's welfare.
Prince of Arcot Nawab Abdul Mohmmad Ali and leaders of various political
parties also condoled his death.
