Class 12 female student found burnt at Delhi school, cops initiate probe

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) In a shocker, an approximately 18-year-old girl student of 12th standard was found in a burnt condition behind a school’s guard room in East Delhi’s Krishna Nagar area, the police said on Saturday.
The girl with severe burns was rescued by the fire service personnel who rushed her to hospital, but was declared brought dead. The firee serivice had reached the spot on an alert athat a girl had set herself ablaze.
According to a senior police official, a PCR call regarding a fire incident was received from a school in Krishna Nagar, East Delhi, and soon staff from the Krishna Nagar Police Station had been rushed to the spot, where they found the female student in a burnt condition.
The cops carefully examined the spot, and during the preliminary proceedings, certain materials were recovered from the spot and the deceased's school bag.
The crime team and the concerned personnel were also called to the spot to carefully examine and preserve the spot in view of investigation.
Incident has shocked people nearby, while the exact backstory is yet to be unearthed.
Meanwhile, the tragic incident drove the students and teachers of the school into panic, while an inquiry will be conducted into the matter, and circumstances leading to the incident are being examined, with further probe in progress.
