Coordinated programme actively running to entice voters with financial compensation in Teachers' constituency: Satej Patil

Kolhapur, Oct 21 (UNI) Congress senior leader and MLC Satej alias Bunty Patil has alleged that a coordinated programme was actively running to entice voters with financial compensation in the Pune Teachers' constituency.
At a press conference today, Patil, who is also district Congress president and group leader in the state legislature council, made serious allegations of malpractice during a campaign event for the Pune Teachers' constituency MLC election.
During his interactions supporting Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) candidate Jayant Asgaonkar, Patil targeted the rival Mahayuti candidates.
He openly accused the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena's candidate, Sachin Sanap, of distributing money to bribe teacher-voters in Pune.
Patil targeted the BJP's official nominee, Kaustubh Gavade, labeling him a "dummy candidate" who remains concentrated in the Kolhapur district rather than properly representing the whole Pune division constituency.
He called upon the educated teacher electorate to reject these tactics and not succumb to financial or emotional pressure.
These statements carry heavy political weight as they come directly on the heels of the Kolhapur Gokul Milk union elections, where Satej Patil successfully led a "like-minded alliance" to defeat the collective might of the ruling Mahayuti coalition.
The MVA is looking to leverage this momentum (referred to locally as the "Gokul Pattern") into a victory for the Pune Teachers' and Graduates' seats.
