Political upheaval likely in five months, says Raj Thackeray

Mumbai, Oct 21 (UNI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) founder Raj Thackeray claimed on Wednesday that there will be a political upheaval in the country in five months and a situation may come where the country may no longer have a Prime Minister.
Speaking to media persons after he inaugurated a photo exhibition at the Mumbai Press Club called ‘The Dance of Democracy’, the MNS chief, Raj Thackeray said, “A time will come when the country will not have a Prime Minister. The children who are protesting on the streets did nothing wrong. It was a peaceful protest, but the Delhi police beat them up mercilessly. Where is democracy in this country?
"Real democracy exists in America, not in India”.
Raj Thackeray said that courts too must introspect about what kind of verdicts they deliver.
“In 2014, Modi came to power, not RSS. Those accused of murder have been released but two Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) members have been arrested. Today, even if people vote for their candidates, they will not win the elections. Naturally, everyone will be angry. This will only further aggravate the situation”.
Raj Thackeray said that he has been demanding that elections must be held using ballot papers. “Since 2018, I have been demanding that elections be held using ballot papers. Since then, many people have now understood why I made this demand. I have been making this demand from the beginning.
"Elections are being held on ballot papers in all the developed countries. If there is ballot paper all over the world, then why should electronic voting machines be used to hold elections in India,” Raj Thackeray said.
He said that the elections in the country should be transparent, adding that even in Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Nepal, elections are held using ballot papers.
“The entire world has rejected EVMs, so why are EVMs still used in India? It is certain that there will be some big trouble in the country in the next five months. I will not be surprised if people in the country come out on the streets,” Raj Thackeray said.
Raj Thackeray said that the issue of security should be looked at seriously. “Lawrence Bishnoi must be taken out of jail and beaten. Only then will many things come out. This government will continue to make more mistakes in the coming days,” Raj Thackeray said.
