Gokul Dudh: Kolhapur Circuit Bench orders 12 directors of Mahayuti to appear in the court on Nov 2

Kolhapur, Oct 30 (UNI) The Kolhapur Circuit Bench of the Bombay High Court has issued an order to the 12 directors of the Mahayuti, who were absent during the election of the president of the Kolhapur District Cooperative Milk Producers union (Gokul), to appear before it on November 2.
The 13 directors of Satej Patil’s Samvichari Aghadi (Like-Minded Alliance) had approached the court after the election of the president was announced by the group yesterday.
In the hearing held today, the court raised the issue of quorum and questioned the minutes written after adjourning the meeting and ordered the directors to appear.
The next hearing in this matter will be on November 2.
The issue of quorum for the election of the president created a dilemma on Thursday, as the 12 directors from the Mahayuti alliance boycotted the session and remained absent.
However, even after the meeting was adjourned, the 13 directors of the Congress Like-minded Alliance held an election meeting in the hall itself and elected Shashikant Anandrao Patil-Chuyekar as the president.
In the petition they said that a quorum of 14 directors is not required for the election of the Gokul president.
Today, the Kolhapur Circuit Bench heard this petition.
During the hearing, the court raised the issue of quorum and questioned the minutes written after adjourning of the meeting.
It also ordered the 12 directors of the Mahayuti, who were absent from the meeting, to be present.
