Haryana Police nab MBA grad turned thief: Criminal intent wears many masks

Panchkula, Oct 23 (UNI) Panchkula Police's relentless Operation Huntdown has landed an unlikely suspect behind bars: an MBA graduate and former owner of a competitive exam coaching centre, arrested for a house theft in Pinjore.
The arrest of 39-year-old Bhim Singh, a Kaithal native who had been living in Shiv Colony, Pinjore, underscores the expanding reach and precision of the operation launched by Commissioner of Police Pankaj Nain to crush theft and chain snatching networks, recover stolen property, and restore public confidence in the city's security system.
According to ACP Crime Aman Kumar, the case unfolded on October 8 when a resident of Shiv Colony, Pinjore, filed a complaint that he had left his house on the night of October 6 only to discover the next morning that cash, artificial jewellery and important documents had vanished from his cupboard. Acting swiftly, police registered a case under Sections 305 and 331(4) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and launched a focused probe.
The breakthrough came on October 21 when a tip-off led the Crime Branch-3 team, headed by Rajesh Kumar, to Kaithal, where Bhim Singh was apprehended without drama.
Produced before the court the next day, the accused was remanded to police custody for a day. Investigators recovered ₹18,000 in cash, stolen artificial jewellery and the missing documents from his rented accommodation in Shiv Colony.
Bhim Singh is an MBA degree holder who once ran a private coaching centre in Kaithal, guiding aspirants through the rigours of competitive examinations. He later shifted base to Pinjore, where he took up employment with a mobile phone company before quitting around a month ago.
That an educated professional who once shaped young careers has now been booked for burglary sends a chilling message across the social spectrum: crime recognises no qualification, and the law makes no distinction between backgrounds.
DCP Crime and Traffic IPS Amarinder Singh said that the accused has been sent to judicial custody. The investigation continues to examine whether the theft was an isolated act or part of an organised burglary activity. UNI KK CDS
