Maha: CBI arrests 2 for defrauding aspiring NEET candidates for medical colleges

Mumbai, June 14 (UNI) Two people were arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for their alleged involvement in defrauding aspiring National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) candidates by falsely promising to manipulate their NEET UG 2025 scores in exchange for money so that they can get admission in medical colleges of their choices, officials said here on Saturday.

Arrested accused Sandeep Shah, a resident of Solapur, and Salim Patel, a resident of Navi Mumbai, were arrested after the parents of the student made a complaint.

The central agency said that it has registered a cheating case on June nine after discovering that two individuals were involved in duping NEET candidates and their parents by falsely claiming to have connections with officials of the National Testing Agency (NTA) that conducts the examination.
