Maha: DyCM Pawar orders to complete necessary facilities for Warkaris during the Palkhi.

Pune, June 14 (UNI) Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar on Saturday reviewed preparations of Shri Kshetra Dehu and Shri Kshetra Alandi ahead of the Palkhi (palanquin) ceremony at Vidhan Bhavan in Mumbai.
Speaking at the meeting, he gave directions that during the Ashadhi Palkhi ceremony, care should be taken to ensure that the Warkaris (devotees) do not face any kind of trouble, provide necessary facilities at the palkhi base, the place of stay and the entire palkhi route,
He assured that the government will provide necessary funds for the ceremony.
Pawar said that due to the possibility of heavy rains, necessary arrangements should be made for rest at lodging places.
Since excavation is going on in Dive Ghat along the mountain side, he instructed to put up barricades so that stones do not fall on the road due to rains.
Also, citizens should be restricted from watching the palanquins in the ghat area, he said.
Furthermore, the roadblock on the old Tukaram Maharaj Palkhi road leading to Baramati at Undawadi Kadepathar should be removed, potholes on the road should be filled and all these works should be completed quickly, he added.UNI SP SS
