Maha: Mumbai Police question actor Dino Morea, his brother once again in Mithi river scam

Mumbai, May 28 (UNI) The city police’s Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Wednesday once again questioned Bollywood actor Dino Morea and his brother Santino Morea in the Mumbai multi-crore Mithi River desilting scam, official sources said here.
The actor and his brother were questioned by the Special Investigation Team of the EOW on Monday for nearly eight hours in connection with the case. They were then asked to be present before the investigators on Wednesday.
Following this, both of them appeared before the SIT this afternoon.
Officials said that the Morea brothers are being questioned for their possible links with the firm linked to the Mithi River scam and close links with the arrested accused Ketan Kadam of Vodar India Ltd.
The SIT is probing the scam, in which the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation suffered a wrongful loss of more than Rs 50 crore.
The Mumbai police's SIT has registered a case against 13 people, including contractors and civic officials, in connection with the scam and initiated searches at the premises of the accused.

There’s no such proposal, and no such discussion is taking place at our level. So, what is the point in commenting on something that doesn’t exist?” he said during a press conference on Thursday.
