CM Khandu calls for citizens’ ideas to shape Viksit Arunachal @ 2047

Itanagar, Oct 7 (UNI) Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu has invited citizens, community-based organisations (CBOs) and NGOs across the State to contribute ideas and suggestions towards preparing a comprehensive roadmap for Viksit Arunachal @ 2047.
In an appeal to the people, Khandu said Arunachal Pradesh has a significant role to play in the national vision of Viksit Bharat @ 2047, given its strategic importance as a frontier State, rich biodiversity, green energy potential and diverse indigenous communities.
He said the State has made significant progress over the past decade, with growth in the economy and per capita income, improved connectivity and strengthening of education, healthcare and enterprise sectors.
He credited the progress to the collective efforts of farmers, women, youth, students, teachers, health workers, entrepreneurs, community organisations, civil servants and institutions.
Khandu said the State government’s policies and programmes have been shaped and strengthened through public feedback and stressed that the voices of citizens, villages and tribes must remain integral to governance and development.
Under the principle of Jan Bhagidari, the proposed roadmap envisages an Arunachal where geography does not determine opportunities, every child has access to quality education, citizens have access to healthcare, and youth have the skills and economic opportunities needed to build their future.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need to harmonise development with conservation, protect the State’s natural wealth and indigenous heritage, and strengthen transparent and citizen-centric governance.
Khandu urged citizens, CBOs and NGOs to submit their ideas and suggestions through the dedicated Viksit Arunachal @ 2047 portal, viksitarunachal2047.in, by October 31.
He assured that the suggestions received would be examined and deliberated upon while finalising the vision document for Viksit Arunachal @ 2047.
The Chief Minister called upon citizens to collectively shape a vision for an Arunachal that is prosperous, sustainable and rooted in its identity, while contributing meaningfully to the national goal of Viksit Bharat.
