Tripura SEC announced schedule for electoral roll in ULBs

Agartala, Sep 16 (UNI) Tripura State Election Commission (SEC) today announced a timeline for setting up polling stations in preparation for the 2026 General Election to Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), marking the electoral preparation for urban body elections in the state, scheduled in December.
Pursuant to a directive issued by State Election Commissioner Dr P K Chakravarty, the preliminary roster of polling stations will be made available tomorrow.
Upon publication of this preliminary roster, the citizens will be afforded the opportunity to lodge claims, objections, or recommendations pertaining to the designated polling stations.
The submission deadline for such claims and objections has been established as September 21.
The Election Commission has designated September 23 for the resolution of claims and objections, subsequent to which the comprehensive list of polling stations will be released on September 25.
The directive specifies that the District Municipal Election Officers, functioning concurrently as District Magistrates of their respective districts, shall disseminate the polling station lists for municipal wards in compliance with Rule 7 of the Tripura Municipalities (Registration of Electors) Rules, 1995.
