SSB, APF Nepal adopt four-point resolution to strengthen India-Nepal border security

Siliguri, Sep 30 (UNI) The Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), India, and Armed Police Force (APF), Nepal, have adopted a four-point resolution aimed at ensuring a robust security mechanism along the India-Nepal international border and strengthening operational coordination between the two forces.
The resolutions were adopted during a two-day DIG-level bilateral coordination meeting held at the SSB Frontier Headquarters at Ranidanga in Siliguri on September 29 and 30. The meeting was held under the guidance of SSB Inspector General, Frontier Headquarters, Siliguri, Vandan Saxena.
The SSB delegation was headed by Deputy Inspector General, Sector Headquarters, Ranidanga, S. K. Sarangi, while the APF Nepal delegation was led by Deputy Inspector General, Brigade Headquarters, Sunsari, Manish Thapa.

All 33 NPP legislators stand intact, says Meghalaya Deputy CM Tynsong

Shillong, Oct 8 (UNI) Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister Prestone Tynsong on Thursday dismissed BJP leader Alexander Laloo Hek’s claim that several NPP legislators want to switch parties, maintaining that all 33 National People’s Party (NPP) legislators remain “united” and “intact.”
“We are united; all 33 elected MLAs of the NPP are intact. As of now, I don’t see any rift at all,” Tynsong, who is also the NPP Meghalaya State President, told reporters.
