Census 2027: Gurugram’s population count to begin in February, online self-enumeration in January

Gurugram, Oct 29 (UNI)The population enumeration exercise for Census 2027 in Gurugram is scheduled to begin in February, with residents able to submit their household details online through a self-enumeration portal from January, Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said on Wednesday.
The self-enumeration facility will be available on the portal se.census.gov.in, following which census officials will conduct door-to-door visits to collect and verify household information, including details submitted online.
According to the district administration, the census questionnaire will comprise 40 questions covering demographic, social, educational and economic details, besides information on language and migration.
The exercise will be conducted digitally through a mobile application. The administration is preparing to deploy and train enumerators and supervisors, with particular attention to high-rise buildings, newly developed sectors, rented accommodation and migrant-population areas.
Uttam Singh urged residents to provide accurate information and cooperate with census teams. He said protecting the confidentiality of personal data would be a priority.UNI KK AAB
