Panchkula, Oct 5 (UNI) Haryana Police have arrested five men for allegedly breaking into a warehouse in Sirsa and stealing utensils and other goods worth lakhs of rupees meant for use in community feasts, a police spokesman said on Monday.
The arrests were made by the Anti-Burglary Team (ABT) Staff, Sirsa, as part of a special drive against property-related offences in the district, the spokesman said.
According to police, the Shani Bhandara Sangh Trust had set up a warehouse at Chattargarh Patti in Sirsa to store utensils and other material used for organising community feasts.
“On the night of September 27, unidentified persons allegedly broke into the warehouse and fled with utensils and other material worth lakhs of rupees,” the police spokesman said.
Following a complaint from the trust management, a case was registered at the Bus Stand police post under the Civil Lines police station, and an investigation was launched.

The accused have been identified as Sahil alias Bhalu, Sahil, Monu, Vikas alias Chhotu and Kapil, all residents of Chattargarh Patti, according to Haryana Police.
Police said the accused would be produced before a court, and their remand sought for further questioning and recovery of the stolen property.
