Chhattisgarh: Govt launches 'Higher Education Mission' to transcend higher education

Raipur, Sep 21 (UNI) Translating the core vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 into action, the State Government is ensuring that the young learners of Chhattisgarh receive far more than conventional degrees, by equipping them with practical skills and the competitive edge needed on the global stage.
Fulfilling its pledge of Seva ka Sankalp, the State Government has launched the 'Chhattisgarh Higher Education Mission' to fortify institutional infrastructure. Under this initiative, targeted budgetary allocations support comprehensive physical and academic upgrades across colleges. A transparent, rigorous monitoring framework guarantees that public resources directly benefit the student community.
To set benchmarks in academic quality, high-performing institutions with student enrollments exceeding 3,000 are being developed into 36 Centres of Excellence. In the same sequence, direct faculty recruitment has been expedited to reinforce classroom instruction, while accomplished industry leaders are entering college campuses as Professors of Practice to deliver practical, industry-aligned insights.
