Haryana CM Saini congratulates ABVP on winning three key DUSU posts, takes swipe at Rahul Gandhi

Panchkula, Sep 19 (UNI) Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Saturday congratulated the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) for winning three of the four key posts in the Delhi University Students’ union (DUSU) elections, while taking a swipe at Congress leader Rahul Gandhi over the outcome.
ABVP’s Yash Dabas won the president’s post, Riya Chhabra the secretary’s post and Lakshya Raj Singh the joint secretary’s post in the 2026 DUSU elections.
“Rahul Gandhi must have heard the voice of the students,” Saini said in a post on X, in a dig at the Congress leader's nationwide 'Chhatron ki Goonj' programme.
Referring to the Congress and its student politics, Saini said Delhi University students delivered their mandate using their own judgment. He described the result as a message that young people want to move towards what he called “positive thought, national interest and development”.
