UPITS 2026 sees 4,400 MoUs worth Rs 6,500 crore, estimated turnover of Rs 15,500 crore

Greater Noida, Sep 29 (UNI) The fourth edition of the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2026 concluded on Tuesday, setting new records in investment, business and global participation, with 4,400 Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) worth approximately USD 680 million (around Rs 6,500 crore) signed during the event.
The five-day mega event, held from September 25 to 29 at the India Expo Centre and Mart, gave the state's products, MSMEs, and exporters strong international recognition.

''During the period, 4,400 MoUs worth approximately USD 680 million were signed. Furthermore, based on business enquiries received during the trade show, a potential turnover of approximately Rs15,500 crore has been estimated,'' a statement said.
According to official data from the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO), a total of 41,500 B2B and business meetings were recorded this year. Of these, 13,500 meetings took place in the Reverse Buyers-Sellers Meet (RBSM) area, while approximately 28,000 business interactions were recorded in the main exhibition area. Through these meetings, buyers from India and abroad established long-term business partnerships directly with the state's entrepreneurs and manufacturers.
Over the five days, the trade show witnessed a total footfall of 598,693 visitors and business buyers, including 174,990 domestic business buyers and 423,703 general visitors.
Organized in line with the vision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, UPITS proved to be the largest and most comprehensive event ever, both in terms of turnover and participation, compared to the previous three editions. Compared to the previous year (2025), every major business metric saw a significant increase.
Compared to the 31,650 B2B meetings recorded in 2025, this year the number reached 41,500, a growth of 31.12 per cent. Meetings with foreign buyers in the RBSM sector saw a massive jump of 123.1 per cent, from 6,050 to 13,500.
Meetings in the main exhibition area saw a growth of 9.38 per cent. The number of signed MoUs increased by 12.82 percent from 3,900 to 4,400. The most notable increase was recorded in the estimated value of MoUs, which jumped 142.54 per cent from Rs 2,680 crore to Rs 6,500 crore. Business enquiries also increased by 24 per cent, with potential turnover estimated to increase from Rs 12,500 crore to Rs 15,500 crore.
This year, the international scope of the trade show was also broader than ever before. While Russia was the only partner country in the previous edition, this year, a total of six countries, including Austria, Japan, Singapore, Belarus, and Vietnam, participated as partner countries alongside Russia. Foreign delegations showed particular interest in the state's manufacturing, IT, electronics, textile, and agri-food processing sectors.
Chief Minister Adityanath's ambitious "One District, One Cuisine" (ODoC) initiative remained a major attraction for both foreign and domestic buyers throughout the event. Traditional crafts, handlooms, brass products, carpets, leather industries, and specialty agricultural products from the state's 75 districts gained direct access to the global market.
The business-like nature of the event proved to be more practical and result-oriented, with MSMEs and local artisans receiving direct orders from international companies. Overall, the event proved to be a significant and significant milestone in the state's progress towards achieving a trillion-dollar economy.
