World Tourism Day: Bundelkhand’s forts, faith and folk tales draw 7 cr visitors

Lucknow, Sep 26 (UNI) As Uttar Pradesh marks World Tourism Day 2026, Bundelkhand is emerging as a diverse tourism destination, bringing together forts and temples, spirituality, folk traditions, handicrafts, cuisine and nature.
Shaped by the Chandelas and Bundelas, the region’s historic forts, temples and archaeological treasures, from Jhansi Fort and Kalinjar to the spiritual landscapes of Chitrakoot, offer visitors a journey through its rich cultural heritage.
