Telangana: ATM vandalised, cash stolen in Shamshabad

Hyderabad, Oct 6 (UNI) An ATM theft at Sathamrai in Shamshabad created panic among locals after unidentified persons allegedly vandalised an Axis Bank ATM and escaped with the cash on Monday night.
Locals noticed the damaged ATM on Tuesday morning and alerted the police. Police inspected the scene and launched an investigation to ascertain the amount stolen.
Police are examining CCTV footage from the ATM and surrounding areas to identify the suspects, their vehicle and the number of persons involved.
A case has been registered and special teams have been formed to trace the perpetrators.

Medak, Oct 6 (UNI) Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla called for collective efforts by families, schools, police, officials and the public to make Medak a drug-free district and urged people to adopt the message "Yes to life, No to drugs."
Participating in the Nasha Mukt Bharat programme at the Medak Integrated District Offices Complex (IDOC) on Tuesday, the Governor flagged off a drug-free awareness rally and stressed that social change must begin with individuals and families.
