Nuclear science exhibition opens at Kottayam Science City

Thiruvananthapuram, Oct 31 (UNI) An exhibition showcasing India's advances in nuclear science and technology and their applications in power generation, healthcare, scientific research and national development began at Kottayam Science City on Friday.

Exhibits explaining nuclear fuel systems, different types of radiation, advanced engineering technologies and their applications have also been arranged.
Special displays highlight the use of nuclear technology in healthcare and the contribution of indigenous nuclear research to India's technological development.
KSSTM Director Jaimon Jacob welcomed the gathering, while IGCAR Director Sreekumar G. Pillai delivered the special address. Local public representatives and other dignitaries attended the function.
The exhibition coincides with the 117th birth anniversary of Dr Homi Jehangir Bhabha, regarded as the architect of India's nuclear programme, underscoring the importance of scientific research and indigenous technologies in national development.
