KTR facilitates release of six Telangana youth from Malaysian jail

Hyderabad, May 21 (UNI) BRS Working President K T Rama Rao (KTR) facilitated the release of six men from Telangana who were jailed in Malaysia under arms-related charges.
The men, from Lingapur and Munyal villages in Nizamabad district, had travelled abroad in search of employment but were arrested due to a lack of awareness of local laws.
Acting on KTR’s directive, Khanapur in-charge Bhukya Johnson Naik personally visited Malaysia twice, arranged legal aid, paid court fines, and ensured the safe return of the men to India. The rescued individuals — Rachakonda Naresh, Talari Bhaskar, Gurujala Shankar, Gurijala Rajeshwar, Gunda Srinivas, and Yamunoori Ravinder — met KTR in Hyderabad today and expressed their heartfelt gratitude.
KTR expressed concern over the lack of support from the Indian Embassy and Telangana government officials, calling it a failure to provide even basic legal assistance. He praised Johnson Naik for his dedication and selfless service, a statement said on Wednesday.
