Fadnavis welcomes Jarange's decision to suspend hunger strike, says govt accepted 12 of 13 demands

Mumbai, Sep 17 ( UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Thursday welcomed Maratha reservation activist Manoj Jarange Patil’s decision to suspend his hunger strike, saying the state government has already accepted 12 of his 13 demands and would fulfil the commitments made by its committee.
Reacting for the first time after Jarange announced the suspension of his fast, Fadnavis said the government has also explained the legal difficulties concerning the remaining demand.
“I am happy that Manoj Jarange has suspended his hunger strike. Of his 13 demands, we had accepted 12. Regarding one demand, we had explained the legal difficulties involved,” he said.
