Chilling details emerge in Ketan Agarwal murder case, 1,801 deleted chats recovered

Pune, Oct 3 (UNI) Fresh details have emerged in the investigation into the murder of Ketan Agarwal, with police claiming that accused Siya Goyal had allegedly inspected the spot at Lohagad Fort beforehand and taken several photographs of Agarwal standing near the cliff edge.
According to the investigation, Goyal and Agarwal visited Lohagad on May 31. Police claim that Goyal had made Agarwal stand at the same spot from where he was allegedly pushed into the valley on June 18.
She reportedly took photographs of him from different angles as he appeared to be looking at the reservoir and the surrounding landscape.
Investigators suspect that these photographs were subsequently used as part of the alleged planning of the crime.
The police have also reportedly found that Goyal and Agarwal visited Lohagad again on June 14.
Investigators have alleged that Goyal had attempted to push Agarwal from the fort during that visit as well, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
The probe has also uncovered extensive digital evidence, with police reportedly recovering the data relating to 1,801 chats between the accused.
Of these, 11 WhatsApp conversations had allegedly been deleted but were subsequently recovered through forensic examination.
Mobile phones, call detail records (CDRs), photographs and technical analysis reports have also been included in the chargesheet, according to police documents.
The digital investigation covered data from several applications and services.
The records reportedly include 135 conversations, searches on Biomee, 81 on ChatGPT, 19 on Facebook, 248 on Instagram, 151 on KnowledgeC, 262 native messages, 410 on ReSend, 128 on Snapchat and 367 WhatsApp conversations.
Police are examining the digital trail, including searches and conversations, to establish the sequence of events and the alleged planning behind the crime. UNI SP ATP SAS
