Maha: ED recruitment sparks political firestorm: MLA Pawar accuses central govt

Mumbai, Sep 11 (UNI) The Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) latest recruitment drive for top-tier posts has triggered a sharp political controversy in Maharashtra, with Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) MLA Rohit Pawar launching a scathing attack on the Central government.
Taking to social media, Rohit Pawar questioned the timing and underlying motives behind the ED inviting applications for key positions such as Additional Director and Joint Director. Pointing directly at the aggressive deployment of central agencies, Pawar claimed that this recruitment signals a "fresh wave of extensive raids" designed to muzzle the voices of a growing political opposition across the country.
Pawar expressed deep apprehension that the ramped-up investigative machinery will be leveraged to pressure opposition parties into compliance, specifically pointing to the upcoming passage of the Delimitation Bill in Parliament.
