No negligence in drinking water supply be tolerated: T'gana Dy CM Bhatti

Khammam, Oct 4 (UNI) Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu today directed officials to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply in villages and warned that negligence in providing basic amenities would not be tolerated.
Addressing a review meeting on development and welfare programmes in Madhira constituency at Jamalapuram in Errupalem mandal, along with District Collector Diwakara T.S., Bhatti asked officials to immediately address drinking water problems wherever they arise and discharge their duties with accountability.
He said Rs 57.69 crore had been sanctioned for modernising nine schools in the Madhira constituency and instructed officials to expedite the works and provide students with improved infrastructure.
The Deputy CM also directed the Roads and Buildings Department to complete ongoing bridge construction works on a priority basis to avoid inconvenience to the public. He asked officials to facilitate the shifting of electricity poles obstructing road widening and other development projects.
Bhatti instructed officials to provide skill training to 10,000 women in Madhira town through MEPMA, focusing on high-demand sectors to enable them to secure employment and self-employment opportunities.
He further directed officials to complete the land re-survey process transparently and update records accurately. He stressed that all development works should meet prescribed quality standards and be completed within stipulated deadlines.
