Odisha CM sends special team to Sikkim to manage rescue and treatment of bus accident victims

Bhubaneswar, May 30 (UNI) Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has discussed with the Sikkim government the issue of rescue and treatment of victims of a bus accident in Sikkim in which many of the passengers were from Odisha.
The Chief Minister also discussed bringing back of the accident passengers from Sikkim to Odisha.
He has ordered a special team of officials from Odisha to proceed to Sikkim for proper management of the arrangements for the victims.
The CM also expressed deep sorrow over the accident.
As per reports a tourist carrying 11 tourists from West Bengal and Odisha fell into the Teesta river on Thursday night. Sources said only two passengers with multiple injuries have been rescued so far.
Efforts are on to rescue the rest.
