PK helping other opposition parties rather than strengthening his own outfit: Bihar Edu Min

Bhagalpur, Oct 21 (UNI) Bihar Education Minister and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Mithilesh Tiwari on Wednesday accused Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor of attempting to benefit other opposition parties rather than strengthening his own outfit ahead of the upcoming Legislative Council elections.
Addressing an interaction programme organised in support of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate for the Koshi Graduate Constituency, Tiwari alleged that Kishor consistently opposed the NDA and the BJP wherever he went. He accused the Jan Suraaj founder of creating political confusion and misleading voters.
Tiwari urged voters to remain cautious about Kishor's political statements and appealed to them to vote for NDA candidates in the Legislative Council elections scheduled for October 23.
The minister said the victory of NDA candidates was necessary to sustain the pace of development in Bihar's educational infrastructure. He urged voters to exercise their franchise carefully.
Tiwari said the state government was committed to strengthening and expanding the education system, adding that several concrete steps had been taken to ensure continued progress in the sector. He also said the government was working to safeguard the interests of young people and female students.
On teachers' grievances, the minister said issues related to the Seventh Pay Commission, transfers and postings would be resolved positively soon.
Bhagalpur Municipal MLA Rohit Pandey, who was also present at the programme, said the state government was committed to educational development. He expressed confidence that teachers and graduate voters would cast their votes in favour of NDA candidates.
