Telangana CM congratulates Nandini for winning heptathlon gold in Asian Athletics in South Korea

Hyderabad, May 30 (UNI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy today extended congratulations to athlete Agasara Nandini for winning the gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championship in Gumi (South Korea).
The 21-year-old Nandini from Telangana became only the third Indian athlete to win a heptathlon gold at the Asian Athletics Championship.
On ‘ X’ the CM praised her for bringing laurels to Telangana and making India proud.
"Winning the gold medal at the Asian Athletics Championships
"Telangana’s prestige on the world stage.
"My congratulations and in the future more successes to receive. I bless you wholeheartedly,” he tweeted.
Nandini clocked 2:15.54 (885 points), outpacing Jingyi, who finished in 2:24.87 (759 points), to secure a brilliant win.
Nandini is the third Indian to win heptathlon gold at the Asian Championships, following Swapna Barman (2017) and Soma Biswas (2005).
She is the only athlete from Telangana state who participated in athletics in the Asian Games.
A product of the Telangana Social Welfare Residential Women’s Degree College, Sangareddy, she is currently studying Bachelor of Arts (Business Administration) final year..
She studied up to 10th standard in Gurukul School, Narsingi.
