Patna, Apr 1 (UNI) Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejaswi Prasad Yadav, a senior RJD leader, said that the Assembly elections in Bihar will be held only when the BJP asks the Election Commission ( EC) to do it.
Yadav told news persons here on Tuesday that when the elections will be held in Bihar, it is in the hands of the BJP. Accusing EC of acting at the command of the BJP, he said whenever the BJP signals, the commission will conduct the election in the state.
Blaming Union Home Minister Shah for presenting concocted data, Yadav challenged the former to a debate, saying that whenever and wherever the Union Home Minister asks him, he is ready for the debate.
Yadav claimed that the people will stand against their exploitation they have been facing for the past 20 years and will teach a lesson to the opposition. He said there would be a complete transformation in Bihar after the elections.
Commenting upon the recent Bihar tour of Shah, the RJD leader said that he had already predicted that the BJP would use its entire force, including the Union Ministers, in the Assembly elections of Bihar. The BJP leaders visit only poll-bound states.
He said even after being the second most powerful leader of the country, the data presented by Shah was fabricated, and asked the BJP leader to do the homework and study properly before his next visit to Bihar. He also accused Shah of not uttering even a single word on the political dynasty of the BJP Alliance partners and the Union Ministers Chirag Paswan and Jitan Ram Manjhi.
Taking a dig at Shah's promise of making Bihar flood-free if he stays in power for five years, Tejaswi said that he has been in power for the last 20 years and is now saying such things.
Referring to the NCRB records of the last 20 years related to crime, Yadav compared them with the 17-month-long rule of the Grand Alliance ( GA) and highlighted the achievements of his government.
Instead of speaking about the GA government and RJD leaders, Shah should have mentioned the promises made to the people by the NDA government, but when he spoke about Bihar without any information, it is clear that he was always doing politics. He has nothing to do with the development of Bihar, accused Yadav. He said that when Shah comes to Bihar and talks about jungle raj, he should have had the correct figures.
Speaking about the Waqf bill, he said it is a constitutional bill, and the RSS was trying to impose its agenda on the country.
Showing his concern for the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the RJD leader said that he had worked with Kumar and was worried about his condition.
