Buddhist meditation and spiritual centre to be established in Bodhgaya

Patna, Apr 1 (UNI) The Bihar government will establish a Buddhist meditation and spiritual centre at an expenditure of Rs 165.443 crore in Bodhgaya, an international tourist spot and spiritual centre of Buddhism.
Official sources said here on Tuesday that the Centre would be established under the Swadesh Darshan scheme for which RS 16.54 crore has already been released.
The centre would be developed keeping in mind the religious and auspicious environment of Bodhgaya, and its design would be based on the ancient Buddhist architecture of the Kesariya stupa of Bihar.
The structure of the centre will not only attract tourists but will also enhance the religious importance of Bodhgaya.
According to the source, the centre will provide meditation, sadhana and spiritual peace to the followers of Buddhism and tourists. In addition to meditation, a digital exhibition of Lord Buddha will be available at the centre.
The sources hoped that it would give a new height to tourism.
