India on path of decline due to Modi govt's wrong policies: Londhe

Mumbai, Mar 19 (UNI) Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) chief spokesperson Atul Londhe on Wednesday scoffed at BJP's claim that India's sting is being heard in the world, terming it as false and said that investments do not come in countries where disputes are created on religious issues.
The issue of razing of Aurangzeb's tomb is currently heating up the country, and the same issues of history will continue to be brought out, as efforts are being made deliberately to cover-up the failure of the government and divert attention of people from core issues, he alleged.
Speaking further, Londhe said that it is said that farmers of the country have a debt of Rs 11 lakh crore and the government does not have the money to waive it but in the last 10 years, the same BJP government has waived loans worth Rs 16.35 lakh crore of industrialists, he said while citing the RBI report.
That is, Rs 5.35 lakh crore more than the farmers' loans were waived off, he alleged and claimed that this loan, believed to be Rs 29 lakh crore, will be gradually waived off.
Commenting on India's imports and exports, he said that the country's exports fell by 10.9 percent in the quarter compared to the previous three years, while imports also fell sharply, he said while quoting a data from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry.
The BJP government has withdrawn more than Rs 36 lakh crores from the public's pockets by imposing various types of cesses, agricultural cess, road tax along with excise duty on fuel, he added.
